QR barcodes also known as a Quick Response two-dimensional bar codes originate from Japan and were developed by the car industry in the mid 1990’s. World’s first! – Below for the first time (100% FREE online), you can get your own QR barcoded information presented onto a 3D cube. Please note that the 3D cube QR barcode, whilst are usable / scannable, they are harder to scan due to the change in image perspective. It is therefore recommended to use as bigger an image as possible or to just use them for effect.
In recent years QR barcodes have been increasingly used all over the world for marketing purposes and they can be found on a number of products / posters / advertisements. These are mainly used to point mobile web browsers to a product / promotion or companies website. Most modern Smartphones can scan and translate these images into the stored text (using free, included or relatively cheap Apps), this information being a website URL or other textual information. This encoded text can be used to store contact information, telephone numbers, website URL’s and map references to name but a few applications.
